Tending to the Guayusa

A native Ecuadorian farmer tends to cultivated Guayusa plants. Using certified organic agriculture and fair wages, the Runa project is providing economic opportunity to native people who typically rely on performing day labor to get by. It’s a good model of agriculture performed in a safe, non-toxic way that can actually lead to a decent living for growers.
