Zoë Gardner has recently accepted a position in the Research & Development Department of Traditional Medicinals, in Sebastopol, California. For more than thirty years, Traditional Medicinals has been exploring the plant world, providing the world with reliable teas and other herbal products formulated with a deep knowledge of Traditional Herbal Medicine and the most modern scientific methods of quality assurance. Recognizing that all things are connected, Traditional Medicinals is guided by a deep respect for the earth, striving always to ensure that their actions reflect their commitment to the environment.

Prior to accepting the position, Zoë was Program Coordinator of the Medicinal Plant Program at the University of Massachusetts, which provides education, research, and outreach related to all aspects of medicinal plants. She is currently completing her Ph.D. in medicinal plant quality and safety, and is proud to be known as the "Herb Nerd".

Zoë was also Research Editor of The American Herbal Products Association's Botanical Safety Handbook, Second Edition, which is available on Amazon.com. She is a member of several of the principal herb organizations including the American Herbal Products Association, American Herbal Pharmacopoeia, American Botanical Council, University of Massachusetts Medicinal Plant Program, American Herbalists Guild, Medicinal Plant Working Group, Sigma Xi: The Scientific Research Society.
