Company (Other):
Special Event Producer
Writer, Event Producer, Marketing Consultant, Yogi

At a very young age Jill Ettinger knew there was something that made her feel very different. By the time she was in her teens, she was comfortable “coming out of the refrigerator” as a vegan. With limited vegan food available, she began working at a local health food store, which exposed her to a world of new nutritious tastes, alternative healing modalities and global cultural expressions. She went on to spend more than a decade as a broker and sales and marketing manager building some of the biggest organic and natural household name brands including: Clif Bar, Yogi Tea, Peace Cereal, Tofurky Guayaki, Boca Burgers, Traditional Medicinals, Organic Valley, Sunfood and Sambazon.

Now as a writer, Jill's focus on food, wellness and world culture blends the mystical and modern as she explores what our shifting agricultural and healing systems will look and taste like in the very near future. Her examinations on these systems regularly appear on RealitySandwich.com and OrganicAuthority.com, where she writes a daily news column as well as contributes weekly feature articles. She’s a featured contributor in the anthologies 2012: Perspectives on the Next Age with an essay on the controversial Dr. Bronner’s soap lawsuit and What Do You Believe? where she reflects on her years as a bicycle messenger.

Jill also works as a Web content manager and a marketing consultant helping to develop strategies that reflect community values and social responsibility for a variety of natural product brands, healers and artists seeking to reach their community on and offline.

Working to support the sustainable development of creative community, Jill is co-director of Evolver Los Angeles, a regional community group part of the Evolver Social Network that supportscreative transformation through arts, education and social activism in more than 40 cities worldwide.

Jill lives at the Sugar Shack, an intentional artists' collective located in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles with her partner, writer Baza Novic, and their immortal alien cat, Turbo.
